Northmoor House

Set on one of Oxford’s most characterful residential streets, Northmoor House is a layered family home designed to balance heritage, atmosphere and modern comfort. KINDLY was invited to create interiors that felt elegant and deeply personal, enhancing the architecture while making each space work beautifully for everyday life.

Working in collaboration with Riach Architects, the project brought together bespoke joinery, considered spatial planning and carefully layered interior detailing. A refined palette of deep tones, dark walnut, tailored upholstery and soft neutral textures creates a calm yet distinctive mood throughout the home.

From the kitchen and bar areas to the study, bedrooms and family spaces, bespoke storage and fitted furniture were designed to feel both practical and quietly luxurious. In the son’s bedroom, a hidden bookcase door adds a playful and imaginative detail, while heirloom pieces, sculptural lighting and rich natural materials bring a sense of depth, provenance and individuality.

Every room has been shaped with intention, from the quiet drama of the darker spaces to the warmth of the textiles and handcrafted joinery. The finished home feels distinctive, personal and deeply rooted in its Oxford setting.
