A peaceful street lined with stone houses with small windows, some with shutters, and rooftops with chimneys. There is a curved road, green grass, and a wooden bench on the grassy area, with plants and trees along the street.

Interior Design for Burford and the Cotswolds

You may have found us while passing the studio, or while looking for an interior designer local to Burford.

So, welcome!

KINDLY is an interior design studio based in Burford, working primarily across the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire, with projects across the UK and overseas. We design homes that feel calm, natural and gently refined, with a focus on craftsmanship, thoughtful detail and the way a home feels day to day.

We work with clients who want their homes to feel more personal and better suited to the way they live. That might be a period property that needs updating carefully, a family home that no longer works as it should, or a new home that needs a trusted team to keep the project moving.

You’ve found our Burford Studio

Our studio sits in the heart of Burford, close to many of the makers and suppliers we work with across the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire.

Being based here gives us a practical understanding of the local architecture, from period cottages and townhouses to larger country properties and weekend retreats. These houses often need a careful balance: preserving character, improving flow, and making the spaces feel comfortable for modern life.

Local Projects

A sense of how we work with homes nearby.

The Cotswolds has a particular kind of beauty, but homes here often come with their own challenges. Low ceilings, listed details, old stone, awkward layouts, newer extensions and rooms that have been added over time can all make design decisions feel less straightforward.

We help bring clarity to those choices, finding the balance between what should be preserved, what needs to be improved, and where a more contemporary element can sit comfortably. Our local projects show how considered design can bring warmth, flow and purpose to a home, whilst preserving the character and history.
